The Millennial Movie
Gamify, Clean The Environment, Save The World!
The Millennial is a satirical sci-fi musical parodying the lives of millennials in American and Western culture, their connection to the environment, games, and fantasy, and ultimately their potential to make the world a better place in order to give current and upcoming generations a chance for a brighter future.
“The Millennial” is a decade-in-the-making project that illuminates the dire challenges facing new generations today. It’s a cinematic convergence of reality and fiction, spotlighting the agonizing impact of soaring living costs on Millennials. Struggling to afford homes or apartments and burdened by education debt, this generation stands on the precipice of an uncertain future.
Just imagine the cost living, food and fuel 10 years ago and how much they’ve risen now. Now imagine if things stay along this trajectory, how much we will be paying in another 5-10 years or more! Time is of the essence, as the film serves as a rallying cry to address these crises. “The Millennial” envisions a world where the collaborative spirit of video games unites individuals to solve real-world problems. It’s not just a film; it’s a blueprint for change. By supporting this project, you’re fostering a movement that goes beyond the screen – igniting grassroots initiatives that offer tangible solutions. As the struggles depicted in the film mirror those faced by millions, backing “The Millennial” becomes an investment in a brighter future for all. Your support is pivotal, as this endeavor holds the power to reshape destinies and steer generations toward a path of collaboration and triumph. Time is running out!!
A being from another planet came to Earth to be born as a human millennial named “Nicolas” to bring light and love to the planet. After being shocked at how disharmonious Earth was, Nicolas discovered the real reason for this was because a naughty extraterrestrial race called the “Ikna” infiltrated the planet and have been secretly running things behind the scenes. Nicolas must reunite with their Twin Flame “Jasmine” and others whose mission is also to bring love and light to the planet. Together, they will form a team to unite humanity using South Africa’s Ubuntu treasure, and stop the “Ikna” before they gain full control of the planet (and ruin the environment).

What is Ubuntu?
We’re not talking about the computer operating system, we’re talking about where the operating system got the name in the first place. Ubuntu is a South African philosophy
According to Wikipedia:
Ubuntu is a Nguni Bantu term meaning “humanity”. It is sometimes translated as “I am because we are” (also “I am because you are”), or “humanity towards others” (Zulu umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu). In Xhosa, the latter term is used, but is often meant in a more philosophical sense to mean “the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity”.
For me, being a Millennial is not just about some statistic or large group of people defined by an age group. Being a Millennial for me means being born during the end of the analog period and during the start of the digital revolution. This gives Millennials the experience of having a foot in both worlds, something that future generations will never have. We were the first generation to experience making friends around the world using the internet from an early age, finding common interests with others regardless of what country or nationality they belonged to. Thanks to these unique traits, Millennials could potentially be the bridge to bring humanity together, but to successfully do that would require something like an “Ubuntu” view point.
As my grandfather was a Native American from the Lakota Tribe, values and perspectives like Ubuntu about oneness with humanity and nature circulate within my being. Sacred circles and concepts of togetherness is found across Native and Aboriginal cultures around the world for thousands of years. Somewhere in our individualistic Western culture, we seem to have forgotten the importance of sacred spaces of acceptance and healing. The above image of the “Talking Circle” is a beautiful example of equality, listening, and resolution of conflicts.
“I am because we are”
With most of the music score already mixed and mastered in a professional studio out of our own pocket, the money we raise will first be used to “keep the lights on” to take care of our basic needs during production. The reason we can do this is because most of the production will be done using the Green Screen to create virtual environments and special effects. Beyond that funds will be used to cover the full production and additional costs for the film.
Funds raised beyond the basic costs will be used to upgrade our outdated equipment as well as hire a film crew and effects editing team to speed up the process of full production. Together we will accomplish our mission on Earth one way or another and with your help, hopefully in style!
Although the music in the film will draw on different relevant millennial tropes, as a musical The Millennial will contain original songs written and performed by Nicolas and Jasmine as the music group “Ylecas”.
We have been making music together since 2012 with our first studio album released in 2015. The songs were always planned to be included in an upcoming film, which later became “The Millennial”.
Although still in production, we’re giving all contributors and supporters a special gift in the form of Early access to The Millennial Game demo when it’s complete.

We want to make this film the best that it can be. We’re open to all the help we can get, so if you’re a 3D artist, 3D animator, visual effects artist, compositor, or if you feel like contributing to this movie in any way not mentioned here, please contact us at: nicolas@lovelstzy.com
If we go above and beyond our financial goal, funds will go towards creating the vision of the film in The Real World. All additional funds raised beyond the production of the film will be used towards building Educational Film Centers that will be promoting Ubuntu, L0VE, and Harmony on Earth through various intercultural and inter-religious philanthropic and entrepreneurial creative projects that foster cooperation and communication.
Nicolas is a composer, filmmaker, and environmentalist.
Nicolas is a Millennial as well as a published author on the subject of millennials. Born and raised in Northern California and surrounded by Nature, Nicolas grew up during the tech boom of the ’90s and early 2000s. Having learned how to use a computer before learning how to read, technology has always been a part of Nicolas’s life with video games being a center point since the beginning. In addition to a tech mind, Nicolas always felt connected to an invisible “Force” and was taught from an early age to pay attention to intuitive insights and inner senses often spending hours in nature climbing trees. In addition to video games, Nicolas was mesmerized by Japanese animation “Anime” with series like Pokémon and Dragon Ball Z being some of the early entries to the American market as well as films of the science fiction and fantasy genres. Because of all these influences involving stories, Nicolas became a storyteller and always wanted to get into acting and filmmaking, joining and even creating several theater improv clubs in high school and college. Although Nicolas had a difficult time fitting into School and always felt “different”, Nicolas channeled that uniqueness into a force for good to help humanity uplift to a more positive platform. Having lived in South Africa for some time, Nicolas has the vision to create a global movement of peace and cooperation based on the South African concept of “Ubuntu” using The Millennial Movie.
